Feeling like winter today, cold and wet

More cold and wet weather is in store for North Texas today. Temperatures are starting in the 30s (above freezing) in DFW and will slowly climb to the low 40s later today. The wind will produce wind chills in the 20s this morning. The rain will be light, or perhaps in the form of drizzle, for much of the day.

Meanwhile, farther west, a Winter Weather Advisory continues for Jack, Montague, Palo Pinto, Young, Stephens, Eastland, and Erath counties. Morning temperatures are close to freezing in these locations and patchy ice is possible, mainly on bridges and overpasses. A more significant ice storm is causing serious problems in West Texas and up into Oklahoma.

The chilly and wet weather will continue into Wednesday as well. Sunshine will finally return on Thursday. The weekend looks nice with sunny skies and cool weather.

Just a reminder: Daylight Saving Time ends next Sunday, too. Clocks will be set back one hour Saturday night.
