Actor Eddie Hassell fatally shot in Grand Prairie, police say

Television actor and Corsicana native Eddie Hassell was fatally shot early Sunday in Grand Prairie, police say.

Officers were called just before 2 a.m. Sunday to the 3000 block of West Bardin Road. When officers arrived, they found the 30-year old with gunshot wounds.

Hassell was taken to a hospital, where he later died, police said.

Hassell was known for his roles in “The Kids Are All Right” and the TV show “Surface.”

Police are investigating the incident and are asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects.
