Part of First Street in Frisco to be closed for the next two weeks

Frisco residents who travel on the section of First Street between Walnut Street and North County Road may need to take a detour through Jan. 4 while pavement is being repaired.

During the closure, no traffic will be able to use the section. However, local traffic coming from North County Road will still be able to reach the Frisco ISD Natatorium driveways and the Memorial Stadium, according to the city.

Drivers who normally use the closed section of First Street can use North County Road as an alternate connection to Main Street.

Residents can use the Waze app to be notified of additional road closures in the area.
