Police searching for man suspected of fatally shooting 31-year-old in northwest Dallas

Dallas police are looking for a man suspected of fatally shooting a 31-year-old man this weekend.

The victim was found with gunshot wounds at about 10:20 p.m. Saturday at Fito’s Tacos De Trompo, a restaurant in the 10500 block of Harry Hines Boulevard in northwest Dallas, police said.

Dallas police identified the victim as Willber Danilo Bonilla Montesdeoca, but the medical examiner’s office said his name was Wilbur Danilo Bonilla Montes De Oca. He died of his wounds Monday, police said.

Witnesses told police that the suspect was wearing a dark sweater, white shirt, and dark pants and shoes when he approached the victim in an attempt to rob him.

The suspect was driving a red 2004 Acura MDX with Texas license plate MWP1145. The car has tinted windows and a square of tint removed on the rear windshield to improve visibility, police said.
