Quiet weather for last weekend of 2020

With continued sunshine and a south wind, the warming trend continues through the weekend with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. It will become breezy on Saturday and downright windy on Sunday. As dry as it’s been lately, that means an elevated fire concern on Saturday and especially on Sunday. Be sure to avoid any activities that could ignite sparks and fires.

Another pleasant day is expected on Sunday. A cold front will move through half of the region during the day with a shift in the wind direction. No rain is expected with the front. Temperature will be slightly cooler north of the front on Sunday, but still unseasonably warm.

The next strong storm system will head our way the middle of the week, with widespread rain on Tuesday and thunderstorms Tuesday night. The rain should be ending around sunrise on Wednesday, followed by clearing skies once again.
