Jacoby Mikel Jones, 22, was booked into the Dallas County jail Tuesday afternoon in connection with the death of 38-year-old Eduardo Pedroza Escobar.

A passing motorist found Pedroza dead about 8 a.m. Saturday along Teague Road in an unincorporated part of southeastern Tarrant County, according to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department. He had been shot in the head.
The sheriff’s office did not say how investigators linked Jones to the slaying but said it appeared to be an isolated incident.
Jones’ bail was set at $500,000. It was unclear whether he had an attorney.
Court records show that Jones was serving 10 years of deferred-adjudication probation in a 2017 aggravated robbery case but that prosecutors had sought last year to have his probation revoked after he was arrested on robbery and weapons charges and failed to meet other conditions of his probation.
