Frisco real estate broker who stormed the Capitol says she went to Washington because Trump told her to

A Frisco real estate broker who stormed the U.S. Capitol last week and documented it on social media told a television network that she attended the march because President Donald Trump encouraged it.

Jenna Ryan told Spectrum News that the president asked his supporters to be there, and she “answered the call” because she believes the November election was rigged.

It’s unclear if Ryan will face repercussions for her role in last week’s mob. The FBI field office in Dallas would not comment on whether she is being investigated. The Texas Real Estate Commission said it investigates only matters related to brokerage activity, according to the Houston Chronicle.

“While the TREC does not condone this behavior, actions of a license holder that occur outside of a real estate transaction are beyond its jurisdiction,” the statement reads.

Some of the footage Ryan filmed includes a Facebook Live video that appears to show her walking through the doors of the Capitol while chanting “USA, USA.”

She denied that she stepped beyond the doorframe and told Spectrum News that when she said she was “storming our Capitol,” she meant, “We’re here,” and “We’re descending on D.C.”

In addition to the social media backlash Ryan’s received — name-calling, negative Facebook reviews on her business page, and requests for her real estate license to be revoked — she said a publisher canceled her self-help book that was scheduled to be released in February.

Residents of Carrollton noted that a sign advertising her real estate business was vandalized with slurs against her and then removed Sunday afternoon.

Ryan has continued to post about the experience — and the public’s reaction — on social media, often addressing “the left” and her “haters,” but has deactivated, reactivated and made her accounts private several times since the event.

Her Twitter bio now reads: “Dallas REAL ESTATE BROKER Who Flew a Private Jet to DC to March for Trump #Patriots #HoldtheLine.”

Ryan also told Spectrum News she wants to run for office as part of the “Patriot Party,” following the path of another North Texas resident who received name recognition for her conservative views. Shelley Luther was arrested last year for opening her hair salon during a statewide government shutdown due to COVID-19. Luther lost a December runoff for a state Senate seat.
