Houston 3-month-old baby Anyla Benjamin found safe

A 3-month-old baby has been found safe after going missing on Friday.

Anyla Benjamin and her mother, 39-year-old Lashea Benjamin, were found at a Greyhound bus station in Dallas, according to the Houston Police Department.

HPD said Lashea was taken into custody after an arrest warrant for injury to a child under 15 had been issued for her.

Anyla was taken to Child Protective Services, according to authorities.

Texas Center for the Missing had issued a Houston Regional Amber Alert on behalf of the Houston Police Department for Anyla Benjamin on Friday.

Due to Lashea’s history with injury to a child, authorities believed that the child was in serious and immediate danger.

On Saturday around 2:30 p.m., the Amber Alert was cancelled after the baby was found.
