Police find woman’s body in creek behind Forest Lane DART station

A woman’s body was found in a creek Thursday afternoon in Lake Highlands, police said.

Around 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Dallas police found the woman’s body face down in the Floyd Branch, behind the Forest Lane DART station, police said.

Dallas Fire-Rescue recovered the body from the water, and the body was reviewed by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The cause of the woman’s death is unknown. Police said the woman’s name would be released after she had been identified and next of kin were notified.
