Fawad Alam opens up on his promotion in PCB’s central contract

Karachi: Left-handed batsman Fawad Alam is delighted after getting promotion to category C in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s Central Contract list 2021.

The 35-year-old Fawad was previously in A+ category for domestic cricketers. Fawad took to Twitter and thanked PCB for rewarding his recent performances in international cricket for Pakistan.

“Alhamdulillah! Can’t thank Allah enough for always being in my favour and granting me success. Hard work pays off indeed. Thank you @TheRealPCB for elevating me to category C of the PCB’s Central Contract list 2020-21,” Fawad tweeted.

Note, PCB CEO Wasim Khan announced the promotion of wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan (B to A category) and Fawad.

Meanwhile, Wasim also revealed that PCB offered a category C contract to veteran batsman Mohammad Hafeez which he politely rejected.
