2nd suspect arrested in fatal shooting near Fair Park

A second man is in custody in connection with a fatal shooting near Fair Park in December.

Frederick Lyn Daniels, 27, was arrested Wednesday on a murder charge in the death of Taboric Lee. He remained in the Dallas County jail Thursday with bail set at $250,000, and it was unclear whether he had an attorney.

Dallas police found Lee, 32, after he was shot the afternoon of Dec. 14 in the 1600 block of Caldwell Street, near Haskell and Fitzhugh avenues. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Police named Daniels a suspect in the slaying in early January.

Earlier this month, police arrested Edward Ray Sims, 35, in connection with the case. He is no longer in custody.

Authorities have not said how they linked either man to the shooting.
