Here’s how cold it will get tonight

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Now that the sky has cleared out and high pressure is moving overhead, temperatures are set to drop quickly

While we do expect temperatures to stay above freezing, there could be patches of frost that form north of Houston. Either way, you’ll want a heavy jacket if you’re out and about before 8 a.m.

We’re expecting a sunny sky to warm temperatures into the 60s Wednesday afternoon with low humidity.

How long will we see this sunshine?
We’ll continue to see abundant sunshine through Thursday. We are expecting more clouds and a slight chance of rain on Friday as our next weak cool front moves in.

When is our next rain chance?
Rain chances return on Friday as our next weak cool front moves in. Right now it is only a 30% chance so a few scattered showers will be possible, but widespread rain is not anticipated.

How is the weekend shaping up?
The front blowing in Friday should usher in seasonal temperatures and gorgeous weather for the weekend. Saturday looks partly cloudy with lows in the 50s and highs near 70. Sunday will start colder in the 40s, but a nearly sunny sky will push afternoon highs back toward 70.
