Rain ending Sunday from west to east

After widespread severe thunderstorms, with numerous Tornado Warnings across much of West Texas on Saturday, storms have weakened significantly as they approached DFW Sunday morning. Expect nothing more than light rain showers through the morning before tapering off from west to east. Skies will clear out as drier air moves in Sunday afternoon with much lower humidity and a gusty west wind. This will increase fire conditions.

Don’t forget to move your clocks forward and hour if you haven’t done so already and check the batteries in your smoke detectors.

Another strong system will bring showers and storms to North Texas by mid week. Some may become strong with hail and gusty winds.
