Sunny start to spring

Spring is officially here and we have a ridge of high pressure to thank for a pleasant and dry weekend underway. Expect a lot of sunshine and near-normal temperatures in the upper 60′s to low 70s.

Sunday morning will once again be a bit chilly, but with plentiful sunshine, temperatures will climb into the low 70s in the afternoon with winds gusting up to 20 mph out of the south.

Keep the umbrella handy Monday as a cold front will bring area-wide rain showers and a few rumbles of thunderstorms. The best rain chances will be in the late afternoon and evening, but the rain should exit our area by midnight. Tuesday will be sunny, dry and warm again. A second wave of showers and thunderstorms is expected to arrive late Wednesday, and may linger into Thursday morning.
