Country radio host Justin Frazell accused of sexually assaulting teen girl at holiday party

A longtime Dallas-Fort Worth radio host has been arrested on sexual assault charge over an allegation involving a teenage girl at a holiday party.

Justin Barrett Frazell, 47, was arrested and booked into the Tarrant County jail Wednesday, and he was released a short time later. It was unclear whether he had an attorney.

Frazell was a morning-show host for “The Ranch” KFWR-FM (95.9) for more than a decade. In a terse statement on its website Monday afternoon, the station said it had terminated its relationship with him.

According to an arrest-warrant affidavit, the teen was at Frazell’s Mansfield home for a New Year’s party and was allowed to spend the night after her parents left, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.

She told police that she was alone in a bedroom when Frazell came in, gave her an alcoholic drink and said, “Don’t say I never do anything for you,” the affidavit says.

After she fell asleep, Frazell pulled the blanket off the bed, pulled off some of her clothes and performed sex acts on her, according to the affidavit.

About 5 a.m. Jan. 1, the teen was crying and waiting for a relative to pick her up when Frazell came back into the room to comfort her, the affidavit says, but she told him to leave her alone.

Frazell has hosted a weekly red dirt country show since 2000 and had been a weekday morning host at KFWR since 2009. He previously was an air-traffic reporter for “The Wolf” KPLX-FM (99.5) and also worked at KLIF-AM (570).
