A 12-year-old girl was shot Thursday evening while she was doing cartwheels in her front yard in South Fort Worth.
Officers were called just after 7 p.m. to a home in the 3200 block of Knox Street, near Wichita St., after a 911 caller said their granddaughter had been shot, according to an incident report.
Police said people in two vehicles were shooting at each other as they drove past the home. One of the bullets struck the girl in the leg.
She was taken to a hospital with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening, police said.
No arrests have been made.
