16-year-old wanted for murder after fatal shooting of 18-year-old in Little Elm

A 16-year-old is wanted for murder after the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old Friday night in Little Elm Park, police said.

Police did not release the identity of the 16-year-old but said he is a resident of Savannah, Texas.

Officers responded around 8 p.m. Friday to the Beach Pavilion in Little Elm Park and found the victim, identified as Jayvion Dantrell Galburth, with a gunshot wound.

Galburth was taken to a hospital in Denton, where he died from his injuries around 4 a.m. Saturday, police said.

Police said they believe the incident was the result of a disturbance between two sets of brothers, but are still investigating.
