Bodies of 2 men found in abandoned school, Parker County authorities say

The Parker County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deaths of two men after their bodies were found in an abandoned school Sunday evening.

Weatherford police received two separate calls on its non-emergency line about one or more people who were at an unidentified abandoned school with possible gunfire, authorities said. The second call was transferred to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office, and deputies began to look for the building.

Deputies later found the bodies of two men in a building in the 4200 block of North FM 52 in Whitt. Identities of the men will be withheld until next of kin has been notified, authorities said.

Sheriff Russ Authier said in a written statement that the men may have died of homicidal violence, but the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office will determine the official cause of death.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
