After award-winning weather this weekend, rain chances increase this week

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — What a weekend! I hope you were able to enjoy the sunshine and warm temperatures, clouds and rain chances increase as we head into the work week.

Patchy morning fog will be possible Monday morning, however humidity levels will remain in check. As moisture increases from the Gulf, you will see more clouds giving us partly sunny skies in the afternoon.

How long with the sunshine continue?

We saw a lot of that good sunshine this weekend but it looks like the clouds will start moving back in Monday. We will see partly sunny skies Monday and then more cloud cover should move in Tuesday.

When is our next opportunity for rain?
The next storm system in view will impact us midweek into the end of the week. The best chance of rain looks to be Thursday with a 40% chance. It’s too soon to say if any of the storms will be severe, but because we are in severe weather season, it’s certainly possible. We’ll keep you posted.
