Karachi: England’s pacer Saqib Mehmood will not be part of Peshawar Zalmi for the remaining matches of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six.
The 24-year-old Saqib announced that due to his commitment with Lancashire County, he can’t join 2017 PSL champion.
“Really enjoyed my time with Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 6 earlier this year but given the timing of the rescheduled tournament in June I will be unavailable for the remainder and will be playing for my county Lancashire Cricket,” he wrote on Instagram.
Saqib wishes join Zalmi later in the future. “I would like to thank everyone at Peshawar for making my time such an enjoyable one and would love to return to play there again in the future, when the timing is right,” he added.
It must be noted that most English players will not be available for PSL 6 reminder as they will be busy playing county cricket.
Meanwhile, a replacement draft is all set to take place today and franchises will have a replacement list of over 130 foreigners.
