Drive-by shooting leaves Spring Branch family traumatized

SPRING BRANCH, Texas (KTRK) — Houston police are investigating after a shooter fired at least a dozen rounds into a family’s home in Spring Branch.

Home surveillance video shows the moment the shooter starts to fire into the house as bullets shattered the windows of cars parked outside.

Five children, their pregnant mother and their father were sleeping inside of the home when the shots rang out at three in the morning.

“You can be sleeping, and your house is just shot up,” said the mother who does not want to be identified out of fear for her safety.

“And I hear my husband. He’s like ‘Get down to the floor! There’s a shooting! There’s a shooting!,'” the mom said.

Bullet holes came into their living room and even their children’s rooms.

“My kids and my husband were inches away to losing their lives,” she said.

The family believes their home was wrongfully targeted.

Houston police did not release any additional information on the incident.
