Stormy week ahead

Saturday has been a good day for outdoor activities, with a mix of sun and clouds, and a high in the mid 80s. But we won’t see another day like that in North Texas for quite a while. A few late afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms will develop, but mainly west of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will be likely beginning on Sunday, and continuing all of next week. During that time, heavy rain is possible with some areas receiving more than four to six inches of rain. All of that rain will keep temperatures below normal all week. But it won’t exactly feel cool, because of the high humidity.

There will also be a low end severe weather threat with the highest chance for any severe storms likely occurring on Tuesday. But flooding will be the greatest concern next week.

Be sure to stay weather aware and check back for updates.
