Shooting at Kiest Park leaves 1 in critical condition

A person was in critical condition after being hit by gunfire Friday night at Kiest Park in central Oak Cliff.

Police were dispatched to a shooting call about 9:45 p.m. at 3080 S. Hampton Road, near West Kiest Boulevard. Authorities said they found a victim with a gunshot wound and took the person to a hospital in critical condition.

Video showed police inspecting an empty red car in a parking lot in the area. Robbery detectives were at the scene.

No arrests have been announced, and police have not released the victim’s name or any other information.
