High water locations on Houston-area roads

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Keep an eye on high-water locations on Houston-area roads and other trouble spots for drivers, as heavy storms bring flooding rains.

Remember, if you come across high water, don’t attempt to drive through it. Turn around, don’t drown.

For hours during the middle of the day on Monday, Highway 288 lanes became impassable due to the high water. That situation is now cleared, but it’s a reminder for drivers of how quickly the roads can become dangerous.
