CM asks depts to implement reforms

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has started reviewing the implementation status of multiple reforms initiatives introduced by the provincial departments.

He has directed the heads of departments to ensure timely implementation of the initiatives to achieve the ultimate goal of ensuring improved service delivery to people, according to a statement issued here on Tuesday.

A notification issued to the departments concerned directed their heads to formulate detailed presentation on the reforms initiatives, including organisational restructuring, strengthening of legal framework, capacity building of human resources, procurement regime, service delivery/ease of doing business, e-governance, strengthening of monitoring regime and any other specific intervention.

Mahmood termed the reforms initiatives integral part of good governance strategy of his government to provide improved civic facilities to people.

“All the departments would have to play an extraordinary role in service delivery to meet the aspirations of people,” he directed.
