Online assessment platform for students launched

ISLAMABAD: The Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) and Learning Pitch that uses technology and modern practices to promote education, have launched a free online assessment platform to aid students during the pandemic.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between IBCC Secretary Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah and Learning Pitch’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Syed Wajahat on Tuesday.

The IBCC is the umbrella board of all 29 educational boards in the country.

Speaking to , the IBCC secretary said around 13,000 MCQs were available on the platform, which will be helpful for the students to get themselves prepared for the upcoming board examinations.

He said several lectures and videos of practical work were also available on the platform. He said on the direction of Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood, the IBCC and the firm joined hands to provide free online material to students ahead of upcoming board exams.

“ I am hopeful this initiative will help students overcome learning deficiencies as during the last one year schools and colleges have seen frequent closures due to Coivd-19,” he said.

Meanwhile, a press release said the IBCC secretary stressed the importance of the platform and said it was a step in the direction of educational excellence in Pakistan.

“I am very optimistic about the future of education in Pakistan and this platform is another step in the direction of educational excellence in Pakistan.”

The press release said the platform contains more than 13,000 questions encompassing all the BISEs which will help students prepare for their board exams.

“The platform aims to revolutionise the educational practices in Pakistan and promote a culture of learning and educational equality, through the power of connectivity and information technology. Students from grade 9th to 12th will benefit from the platform by visiting ibcc.myinteracademy.com,” said the press release.
