FIR registered over Chaman bomb blast

QUETTA: Some unidentified people were booked by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Sunday in the FIR registered in connection with the motorcycle bomb blast that took place in Chaman town the other day.

Seven people, including activists of the JUI-Nazaryati, were killed and 14 others injured in the incident.

Unknown attackers had parked the motorbike near the venue of an anti-Israel rally and detonated the bomb with remote control.

The naib emir of the JUI-N, Maulana Abdul Qadir Luni was the target of the blast. However, he survived the attack.

The case was registered under Sections 5, 3, and 4 of the Explosives Act and 302, 324 and 427 of Pakistan Penal Code and Section 7 of Anti-Terrorism Act.

An investigation has been launched by the police and CTD officials. No one has claimed responsibility for the blast so far.
