Shifting to a wet weather pattern Sunday

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — After another typical hot summer day Saturday, with high temps in the lower 90s and feels-like temps over 100 degrees. Our weather pattern will change to a wet and stormy one on Sunday. Deep tropical moisture will spread in and give us scattered thunderstorms. Our threat for street flooding will pick up on Monday when even deeper moisture moves in. Of course places that don’t get the rain will be hot and very humid.

I Will we have to worry about flooding this weekend?

The storms we get on Sunday should be moving fast enough to keep flooding from being a significant threat. Monday’s rain will give us a better chance for flooding.

How about those feels like temps?
If you make it to the mid-afternoon hours without any rain, your feels like temps will push above 103.

What about 4th of July weekend?
At this time, it looks like another slug of moisture will move in and give us more rain. That’s still a log way off so maybe things will change.
