Shifting to a wetter weather pattern Sunday

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Rain chances are on the rise today, and will peak tomorrow as deep tropical moisture spreads in to give us scattered thunderstorms. While no severe weather is expected, street flooding will be possible under any of these slow moving showers or storms. The increase in cloud cover and rain chances will keep highs in the 80s today.

I Will we have to worry about flooding this weekend?

Today we have a 10-20% chance of seeing street flooding within 25 miles of your house, it’s not a high risk, but it’s possible to see some localized street flooding under any of these heavy downpours. Monday’s rain will give us a better chance for flooding due to the plume of tropical moisture moving in.

How about those feels like temps?
If you make it to the mid-afternoon hours without any rain, your feels like temps will push above 103. Those that see some cooling downpours will stay under the century-mark.

What about 4th of July weekend?
At this time, it looks like another slug of moisture will move in and give us more rain. That’s still a long way off so it’s possible things could change.
