A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an Old East Dallas shooting that left an 18-year-old man dead and a woman wounded.

Tyle Rasheed Ingram faces a charge of capital murder in the slaying of Kobe Mascorro.

Police were called about 10 p.m. May 29 to the 1300 block of South Barry Avenue, near East Grand Avenue, where they found Mascorro shot inside his car. He was pronounced dead in the vehicle.

A female passenger also had been shot and had injuries that weren’t life threatening.

Police did not say how they linked Ingram to the shooting.

He was arrested Monday on an unrelated charge before being booked into the Dallas County jail on the murder charge, police said. His bail had not been set, and it was unclear whether he had an attorney.
