Man, 21, charged with murder after confessing to killing woman, Fort Worth police say

A man is in the Tarrant County jail on a murder charge after admitting to fatally shooting a woman, Fort Worth police said.

Shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday, officers were notified of the shooting in the 1300 block of Royster Road, near Altamesa Boulevard and Village Parkway, police said. They found the woman, who has not been identified, shot there, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police arrested 21-year-old Calvin Brown after he confessed to the slaying, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported, citing a police record. They didn’t say what may have led to the shooting or disclose the relationship between Brown and the victim.
