Storms moving through on Sunday

Saturday was breezy and warmer with highs in the mid-90s, just what you would expect in the middle of July. But changes are coming on Sunday.

A cold front is moving across Oklahoma, where a Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect Saturday evening. The storms will cross the Red River after midnight, and move into North Texas before sunrise. Expect showers and a few thunderstorms along the front Sunday morning, with more storms expected to redevelop later Sunday afternoon. Some of the stronger storms may produce some damaging wind gusts, although widespread severe weather is not expected. A few storms may continue into Monday.

It looks like there will be a return to more typical summer heat starting Tuesday and continuing through the rest of the 10-day forecast. Highs will be back to normal, in the mid-90s, but at least there are no 100-degree days in the forecast.
