A few spotty storms possible today

Typical July heat is expected today across North Texas with lingering rain chances. The main chance of showers and thunderstorms will be near a stalled-out front just south of DFW. As the day wears on, this front will slowly move back north toward the metroplex. This means the chance of isolated storms will follow the front into DFW this afternoon. Many locations will stay dry today, but you may want to pack the umbrella just in case. Skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs in the low to mid-90s.

The rest of the week is looking dry across North Texas as an upper-level high gradually builds in from the west. High temperatures will generally hold steady in the mid-90s.
