Scattered storms through Monday

the

Sunday morning brought scattered showers to parts of DFW. The afternoon was generally warm and dry, although additional thunderstorms developed west of Fort Worth. Severe weather is not expected, but brief heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds will be possible where these isolated storms occur.

A weak summer cold front will move into North Texas on Monday with more scattered showers and thunderstorms expected. Again, no severe weather is anticipated. Much lower rain chances may linger into Tuesday.

In addition to the rain, temperatures during the upcoming week will drop somewhat. Temperatures will remain slightly below normal for the remainder of the week, though the heat is expected to build again by next weekend.
