Man killed in overnight shooting in Pleasant Grove, Dallas police say

A man was killed in an overnight shooting in Pleasant Grove, Dallas police said.

Officers were called about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday to the scene of a shooting in the 2100 block of Aspen Street, near Bruton Road.

A man who had been shot multiple times was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police identified him as Bennie F. Lewis.

Police did not announce any arrests, and no further information about the shooting was released.
