Security officer shot and killed man during altercation in east Harris County, sheriff says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A security officer shot and killed a man outside of a store in east Harris County, authorities say.

According to a tweet posted Tuesday night by Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, it happened at a store at located at 388 Uvalde Rd.

The address links back to a Walgreens store on Uvalde Road and Woodforest Boulevard.

Gonzalez said the security officer got into some sort of fight with the man outside of the store when he pulled out a gun and shot him. The man was found dead on the scene when deputies arrived.

It’s unclear what started the fight.
