Teenager killed, 4 people injured in Grand Prairie crash, police say

A 17-year-old died and four people were injured late Friday in a single-car crash on Interstate 20 in Grand Prairie, police say.

The driver lost control of the car and hit a guardrail on the interstate near State Highway 161, police said. All five occupants were hurt in the crash and were taken to a hospital.

A 17-year-old passenger, Derrick Hall, died from his injuries at the hospital, the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office said.

The other occupants’ injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

No other names were released, and investigators didn’t provide more information about the crash.
