Hot start to Labor Day weekend

It’ll be another hot and humid day in North Texas as we head into the Labor Day weekend. The normal high temperature at this time of year is 92. But we will be well above that again on Saturday, with highs in the upper 90s and a heat index up to 103.

There is hope for a slight drop in temperatures by Labor Day as a weak front slips into North Texas. That front may bring some spotty showers or thunderstorms to the area Sunday evening into Monday morning. But the best rain chances will be south of Interstate 20, and most DFW residents will probably miss out on the rain. But at least temperatures will be a little close to normal next week.
