HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A cool front moved through last night bringing in cooler and drier air. Today will be very pleasant with highs in the low 80s and less humid conditions.
The gusty winds along with the dry air and ground northwest of Houston will create ideal grass fire spreading weather so a Fire Weather Watch has been issued.
Cooler temps in the upper 50s are expected for Thursday morning.
How cool are we talking?
Today our highs will top out in the low to mid 80s, but overnight into Thursday morning, temperatures will fall even more. Low temperatures Thursday are expected to be in the upper 50s with afternoon high temperatures in the low 80s.
How long will this cooler air stick around?
We are actually expecting mornings in the 50s on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Temperatures warm back up over the weekend and into next week.
Is there anything of concern in the tropics?
