HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A gunman in a black SUV shot two men to death before running over one of them as the vehicle drove off, investigators said Wednesday.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, its homicide and crime scene unit investigators were called to the 900 block of Cypress Station Drive, which is just off Hollow Tree Lane.

A call of the shooting at an apartment complex in the area came in at about 9:30 a.m., the sheriff’s office said.

On Wednesday evening, police identified the victims as 27-year-old Isiah McCoy and 30-year-old Reginald “JJ” Jackson.

Authorities did not release a detailed description of the suspect or the SUV. The suspect was described only as a Black male.

Deputies believe the incident may have been drug-related.
