Another cool start, but change is coming

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Tough to argue with this kind of weather!

Temperatures are again starting in the 50s and will warm into the mid 80s under a sunny sky. The humidity will remain low to make it feel extra special outside.

Will this great fall weather continue through the weekend?
Saturday will look and feel a lot like Thursday and Friday, but you’ll start to notice changes by Sunday as deeper moisture pushes this way from the Gulf. We are forecasting a low of 59 and a high of 86 under a sunny sky on Saturday. For Sunday, you’ll notice clouds returning and higher humidity as temperatures warm from 62 to 87.

When will the rain chance return?
The weekend should remain rain-free, but by Monday there could be scattered downpours as the deeper moisture arrives. An upper level low spinning west of Texas next week will boost the rain chance even more for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Is there anything of concern in the tropics?
At this time, no. Sam is expected to strengthen into a major hurricane and stay out in the Atlantic far away from the Gulf. You can get a full overview of the tropics on our tropical update page.
