Sarfaraz Ahmed, Sachin Tendulkar wish cricketer Inzamam ul Haq a speedy recovery post heart attack

Former captain of Pakistan’s cricket team Inzamamul Haq underwent an angioplasty after suffering a heart attack in Lahore.

According to Haq’s agent, the 51-year-old was brought to the hospital after experiencing chest pain. Haq underwent an angioplasty and is currently in a stable condition. The agent said he was hopeful that Haq will be discharged soon.

Many athletes, public figures and netizens were quick to take to social media to wish the cricketer a speedy recovery. Indian cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle wished Haq complete recovery and long life. “Wishing Inzamam ul Haq all the very best, that he recovers completely and remains part of our game for many many years,” he tweeted.

Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram posted a heartfelt message for Haq. “Dear Inzi, you have a beautiful heart. Seems like it’s caught the evil eye. I was worried that someone with such a big heart was in such pain. Praying that you get better quickly so that your sweet heart can make everyone happy. My dearest friend, take good care,” Akram wrote on Twitter.

 

Pakistani cricketer Sarfaraz Ahmed sent heartfelt prayers for his ex-captain on Twitter. “Prayers for Inzamam bhai for [his] speedy recovery. In shaa Allah he will be fine,” he wrote.

 

Senator Faisal Javed Khan prayed for the cricketer’s health and recovery as well. “Lots of prayers for Inzamam Bhai! May Allah give him quick recovery. Get well soon!” he tweeted.

 

Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar prayed for Haq to “come out stronger” from the ordeal. Wishing you a speedy recovery,” he tweeted. “You’ve always been calm yet competitive, and a fighter on the field. I hope and pray that you’ll come out stronger from this situation as well. Get well soon.”

 

Singer Farhan Saeed wished him well.

 

Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Rizwan sent prayers for “our legend and pride of Pakistan”. “Prayers for the quick recovery of our legend and pride of Pakistan Syed Inzamam ul Haq. May Allah give you complete shifa (health),” he tweeted.

 

Cricketer Nida Dar called Haq a legend and prayed for his speedy recovery.

 

Fellow cricketer Rohail Nazir sent a “bundle of prayers and good wishes [to the] living legend”.

 

According to ESPN Cricinfo, Haq is Pakistan’s highest run-scorer in ODIs with 11,701 runs in 375 matches, and their third-highest in Tests with 8,829 runs in 119 matches. We wish the cricketer a speedy recovery.
