Fort Worth police still looking for person who killed delivery driver in possible road-rage incident

Fort Worth police are still looking for the person who fatally shot a DoorDash delivery driver earlier this month.

Around 8 p.m. Sept. 11, officers were dispatched to a shooting at the intersection of Altamesa Boulevard and Kingswood Drive in southwest Fort Worth, police said.

The victim, 24-year-old Hamzah Faraj, had been shot in the head and was taken to a hospital, where he died several days later, police said. His death has been ruled a homicide, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office website.

Officer Bradley Perez, a Fort Worth police spokesman, said Faraj’s wife was also in the car at the time of the shooting and was injured by gunfire.

Police said that after reviewing evidence and speaking with witnesses, they believe the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident and that the gunman was in a gray, four-door Dodge pickup.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reported that Faraj was delivering for DoorDash when the shooting occurred. A GoFundMe page raised over $10,000 for funeral expenses, the newspaper reported.

Police ask that anyone who has information about the incident call the department at 817-392-4341.
