HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Scattered showers and storms moved through Southeast Texas this afternoon bringing heavy rain and lightning. We should see this activity diminish as we head into the evening especially once the sun goes down.
Overnight, patchy fog could develop as skies start to clear. If you encounter fog, make sure you take it a little slower on the roads.
Sunday will start off with a 30% chance of rain but we should see that drop to a 20% chance in the afternoon. Highs should top out in the upper 80s. Temperatures continue to warm to near 90 on Monday before a cool front moves in Wednesday.
When will our next cold front arrive?
We have the next cold front penciled in for Wednesday, October 27th. Cooler, drier, and breezy air is expected to move in behind the front Wednesday evening.
Is there any rain that could cool us off before then?
We saw rainfall today and we could see a few scattered showers Sunday although chances will not be high. Rain chances increase Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of the next cold front.
