Storms tonight, then quiet weather

A cold front will move through the area after sunset, bringing a chance for showers and thunderstorms this evening. The front will have enough lift to generate some strong to severe storms, with wind and hail being the main threats.

Storms will exit the area overnight, followed by drier and cooler weather in time for any outdoor Veterans Day events Thursday. At this time, the weekend looks sunny and pleasant. Saturday will be seasonably cool with highs in the mid 60s. Sunday will be milder with highs around 70.
