Man shot overnight in east Oak Cliff dies at hospital, police say

A man was killed overnight in a fatal shooting that police say occurred in east Oak Cliff.

Shortly after midnight Sunday, officers were dispatched to a shooting at a parking lot in the 2100 block of 52nd Street but did not find anyone at the location, police said.

A man, who investigators believe is the victim of that shooting, then showed up at a local hospital, where he later died, police said. Officials do not know what led up to the shooting. Police did not specify how many suspects may have been involved in the incident.

They can also call 214-373-8477 to contact Crime Stoppers, which is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information the leads to an arrest and indictment in the case.
