Nice fall weather will continue through Saturday

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — After a cool start, Saturday will end up warm with a few clouds floating by. Sunday will be even warmer with scattered showers ahead of a late day cool front.

Late Thanksgiving week could be potentially messy with another another front coming in.

What can we expect for the weekend?
Saturday will start off cold in the 40s, then sunshine will warm temperatures into the mid 70s. It will turn mild and humid again Sunday with a low near 60 and a high near 80. There’s also a 40% chance of rain late Sunday.

When can we expect the other cool front?
That front is penciled in for Thanksgiving Day. With a lot of moisture in place by then, rain and thunderstorms will be likely.

So will it be cold for Thanksgiving Day?

Possibly, but it’s too soon to pin down the timing of the cold front expected for Thanksgiving Day. Ahead of the front it will be very mild and humid, but once the front blows in, it could get downright chilly in a hurry. It is also looking more likely that the weather system pushing this front could bring widespread showers and thunderstorms on and around Thanksgiving Day. Some parts of Texas could even get snow! We will surely keep you updated as the holiday draws near.
