Pakistani American Syed Fayyaz Hussan joins the race for Texas Tarrant County District clark

FortWorth Texas:The leader of American Muslim Democratic Caucus Syed Fayyaz Hassan filed his nomination papers with Tarrant County Democratic Party office in Fort Worth for the office of District Clerk. Texas State Representative Terry Meza, Democratic activist and former Dallas Peace Center President Aftab Siddiqui, Deborah Spell Amjad and Nadia Bhular and Muslim Caucus media coordinator Zahid Khanzada were also in presence. Syed Fayyaz Hassan, his wife Tazeen Hassan and son Babar Hassan came together to the filing of papers.


Syed Hassan is a founder and past President of Muslim Democratic Caucus of Texas. He also served as Vice President of Texas Democrats with Disabilities. He volunteered as Precinct Chair. and election judge and had been one of the key leaders in the Texas Democratic Party. Syed Hassan had represented his district in four national conventions as delegate.


He contested for County Commissioner position in 2018 where he was voted by more than 7,000 voters in Democratic Party primaries.
So far Syed is the only candidate from Democratic Party for the 2022 elections. If the current situation stays, then he will have a direct contest with the Republican Party nominee for the position. Republicans are running contested primaries where the incumbent will be facing one or more in party primaries.
Talking to the media Syed Hassan said that service to the public can only come through competence and leadership. Tarrant County deserves better leadership than the current one.
Democrats have won Tarrant County with narrow margins in the last two election cycles. Syed Hassan has a very good chance of winning this seat in the 2022 elections. Syed Hassan is a database professional with deep knowledge and experience in data mining and records presentations. Syed carries three Master’ degrees in applied analytical fields and over thirty-five years’ experience in planning, data science, internal audits and project management. Currently Syed Hassan is serving as a Vice President of Internal Audits for one of the largest banking corporations in the world.
