Fog and record warmth

Thursday may start with low clouds and patchy fog, but sunshine will return and temperatures will be increasing. Highs on Thursday will be in the 70s.

Even warmer weather is in store for North Texas Friday through the weekend which will lead to record-breaking high temperatures by Christmas. Despite normal highs in the upper 50s, temperatures will warm into the 80s beginning Friday.

Skies will be mostly clear with ample sunshine Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It will be very warm with highs in the low 80s. The record high at DFW on Christmas is 80 set back in 2016. That record will likely be broken. Above normal temperatures will continue into next week.
