2 killed when driver goes the wrong way down freeway in Fort Worth, police say

Two people were killed Sunday morning after a driver drove the wrong way down Martin Luther King Freeway in Fort Worth and crashed, police said.

Fort Worth police responded to the major accident about 2:10 a.m. to the 3700 block of Martin Luther King Freeway.

Investigators said one of the vehicles drove the wrong way and collided with another vehicle.

The drivers of both vehicles, who were not named, were pronounced dead by first responders.

The southbound lanes of the freeway were shut down while police investigated. Traffic was being diverted to Berry Street as of Sunday afternoon, police said.
